MUSICIAN, SOUND ENGINEER

I was 13 and grounded from T.V. and going outside. That left me my radio and keyboard. My mom figured out quickly that the radio needed to be off limits as well. It wasn’t actually the radio that was playing. It was a CD that my friend burnt for me which had a bunch of video game music on it. My favorite was a couple tracks from Legend of Dragoon. So after my music was taken away, I tried to recreate the music on my keyboard. I taught myself how to record in layers and how to pan certain sounds left or right. When I finished what sounded close to what I remembered, I had a chance to listen to the song for help. It was nowhere near it! I had an original sound that I was very proud of. My step dad heard my music and as a musician himself, encouraged it and pushed me for more. Between four years of piano in the Jazz band, and my keyboard at home, I made songs, snippets of songs, and cool riffs that I though sounded good together. I play games now, to hear the music that plays in them. I adventure off just to hear the next town’s music. I get inspiration everywhere, it’s an addiction I want to share!
